SMTP Emails Delayed

Since Upgrading to V7 it I have noticed a significant delay in receiving messages.  Has anyone else noticed  this. 

Ex.  Signing up for this board yesterday after signup they send you a confrimation email.  I waited 10 mins and no email came so I re-signed up with a diffrent external email address (hotmail address) and the email was in my inbox right away.  However it finally showed up about 1 hour later in my office email.

    Are you using extra services like "Grey Listing" ? Not using any extra services
    Antivirus Scanning is set to DUAL Scan
    Use Reccomended RBLs is Checked
    Using Use heuristic spam filter is checked
      warn is 4
      quarintine is 9

    I unchecked block residental hosts

    Is your server very busy?

    Server Stats show
    CPU 3%
    Memory 25% of 3547

    SMTP LOG, scanning a lot of SPAM?

    SMTP Has alot of entries
    here is the threat count for today
    Firewall:  65498 packets filtered 
    IPS:  0 attacks blocked 
    Anti-Virus:  4 items blocked 
    Anti-Spam:  50 emails blocked 
    Anti-Spyware:  0 items blocked 
    Web Filter:  0 URLs filtered 


    I have also heard complaints of users not reciving some external email since the firewall upgrade.  However I have not checked this out so Im not sure if its true.  I have checked the logs and quarintine and cannot find any instances of the messages they are inquiring about.
