SMTP Proxy Help

Hi all.
I have ASG 7.001 running the SMTP Proxy and we love it so far. The only problem now is that our Blackberry redirected messages are not going out. We can receive and send emails. 
I was made to understand that with SMTP Proxy, there is no need for Packet Filter Rules. Is that assumption correct?

    If you are using the Blackberry Enterprise software, it uses TCP port 3101 to talk to the RIM server.

    Thank you sir. We use the desktop redirector with Exchange 2003. ASG is replacing IPCop (although IPCop just did port forwarding). When we plug the cable back on the IPCop, all e-mails go out including blackberry redirected emails. But once we switch to ASG, everything works except the blackberry emails. I am wondering if I missed something.
