SMTP Proxy cannot sent to one domain

Can anybody tell me how to interpret the log below? The SMTP Proxy always fails to send an email to this domain yet I can send a test email from my PC via telnet @ port 25. The remote server is an Exchange server and they confirmed (as far as they can tell) that they are not blocking my domain. BTW, the email server is not ping reachable so I cannot do a ping test from the firewall device (ASG220 R6.203). What does it mean Connection reset by peer? Any idea that could cause this?

    Your firewall is having problems talking to the remote mail server and is breaking the connection for some reason.

    Do you have TCP Window Scaling on by chance? You may have a broken proxy/router in between your firewall and mail.pinnacle-direct.com.

    Strict TCP Session Handling: On
    Validate Packet Length: On

    If there is a broken/proxy between the firewall and main.pinnacle-direct.com why would a normal telnet to port 25 works? Any idea on other setting that I can tweak?
