Multiple emails still a problem with 6.300

??? Wonder what the problem is ???

You can turn of the spam filter and this will go away. Not a good solution but at least it is a work around.

Does anyone know whether there is already a proper solution for that issue ? I have several customers having the same problem.

what about you real email-server? What type is it?
What about the size of your Proxy content? 

How big are the mails and what hardware are you running?`

we have different customers with different hardware and architecture who have the same problem within the last few days.
I don´t think that is a specific problem of the customers configurations but a problem of the astaro software (or the up2dates).

OK,

we also have different installations at different customers.
Try deleting the proxy cache and reboot the machine.

Give it a try.
Maybe Astaro gives some more information ?!

Hello,

We patched from 6.1 to 6.3, rebooted and cleared the proxy. This still has not fixed the problem. It seems rather sporadic, so only some of the email comes in multiple times and then it varies in the number of copies we get.

It's all rather odd and the emails come in with different time stamps.

Some people trying to email us have told us that their emails got reported as having bounced.

I am quite sure this is not an email server/architecture issue as we've had the same set up running smoothly for a long time before this and have not made any changes.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone heard from Astaro?

by default astaro accept 20 smtp connection so if you have lot off mail you should change this to 50

here :
/var/storage/chroot-smtp/etc/Exim.conf.accept_max and put 50

Im running 6.201, and yesterday it started. I get up to 7-8 duplicates. 

This is VERY annoying.

I really hope they are coming out with a fix real soon.

yesterday I lifted one customers ASG120 from 6.201 to 6.203 and the multiple message problem ceased.
Another ASG120 has 6.300 and still the problem and no upstream proxy.

These are the steps we took and it seemed to fix the problem:

1 - Patch upto version 6.300
2 - Delete all content from the Proxy Content Manager
3 - Disable, then enable the SMTP proxy

As soon as we did those three things we stopped getting duplicate emails.
