Spam Pattern becoming old and ineffective

Hi all,
I support severeal ASGs from customers and realized that the AntiSpam Pattern is from december 2005.
I would not be much worried if not within the last couple of days the number of Spam Mails that pass the AntiSpam-Scoring with Scores less than 3.0 (quite many with less than 1.0 or even 0.0) would increase so much.

Astaro confirmed that the Pattern from mid december are the newest ones.
It seems to me that the spam scoring loses its value.

Are there other people with similar experiences ?

Hello,

what are your experiences with the new patterns?

I customized my SPAMFilter by enabling Bayes. Until now the Filters work even better than before.

What do you think?

Hi,

The last days we have seen 6 updates. And they combined with my Bayes hax have cought all SPAM. The new spam that the Bayes filter don't find get cought by the new rules and then autolearned. [:)]
Due to this I have not had the need to train my bayers DB any more! [:)]

Looks to me like they resolved whatever issue they were having with issuing rule updates.. I've seen new updates every day for a few days now.

I have no Bayes Hack on my Astaros... and until now there seems to be no big difference on my "at Work" ASL.

So the Question is...: After using their Rulesets, will Astaro follow the Advice from http://www.rulesemporium.com/ ?

Hi,

we're using ASG220 (Appliance) so customizing is restricted to the web interface (otherwise loosing support).

Can you tell me how to enable Bayes for Spamassassin theoretically? [;)]

You can not enable it by the webadmin interface. Only Console or SSH.
