Kaspersky virus scanner failed error

Same here, started about an hour ago, the logfile always shows that  the kaspersky-scanner has a tcp-connect-failure and no content is scanned no mails are delivered. Only workaround ist deactivating kaspersky and content-scanning,

They should of keep the old virus scanner they had.

It seems that the timestamp of the virus definitions file is wrong, something with 1970, dunno why

All over the place this am.

I have tried the follwoing with no luck
rm -f /etc/up2date/pattern/avp/lib1/*
rm -f /etc/up2date/pattern/avp/lib2/*
rm -f /var/chroot-kav/var/db/kav/5.0/kav4mailservers/bases/*
rm -f /var/chroot-kav/tmp/*
/var/mdw/scripts/kavd restart

then reloading def's. HAs anyone had any success?

The above has worked for at least 1 client so far

I don't seem to be having any problems with the AV system (currently). I did see problems with Up2Date last night, pattern Up2Date is still weird today (trying to download _way_ too much stuff for a daily update).

I don't want to del it because it might void my warranty.  [:S]

I'm getting the same errors.  I have a call out for Astaro support.  

Some of our clients actually would get "content could not be loaded " when trying to use the internet.  By turning off the virus filter that got them up and running again.    My clients  are running version 5.206.  In our office we are running version 6.002 with the same virus signature date showing up Dec 31, 1969.  This has happened before in the past.  

I'll let you know what i found out for the fix.

All must be working now because I just did another AV update and it worked.  The correct date is showing up and I turned AV back on.  The internet is working through the proxy just fine now.  So, you could either force an update or let the autoupdate do it.  It looks like it is doing a full reload of the virus database.

It works now, sent them a message and they said they were working on it and try in four hrs, and sure enough in 4 hrs it started to work right...thanks for the help

Is anyone still having problems with the virus scanner failing while surfing the web, I am getting a lot of calls from my users tellng me they are getting the error.

My clients are still up and running after the fix.  They are all on version 5.206 or higher.  Something you might want to try is turn off the virus filtering first to see if that fixes them temporarily to get on the internet.  That way you can isolate it if  it is still an AV problem.  If that gives them internet then force an update.  Check and see if the updates are showing current dates.
