POP3 / HTTP Virus Detection Broken

After upgrading from 5.019 to 5.022 my PROXY and POP3 virus protection stopped working:

Virus Protection for Mail:   Valid from 08/16/2004 until 08/16/2005       
      
  Virus Protection for Web:   Valid from 08/16/2004 until 08/16/2005   

I have rebooted, stopped and started the services, with no luck.

Any thoughts?

    After my last reboot, the HTTP virus detection started working, but the POP3 detection is still not working.

    It does not catch any of the 100 Mydoom.F or a single eicar test file from testvirus.org

    just to get this out of the way but, did you configure the pop3 proxy to scan for viruses for the pop3 proxy you are accessing. also, is the fw used as the gateway towards this server?

    I do have the POP3 proxy set to scan for Virus, the workstaiton is using the FW as the gateway. This configuration was working until i updated the code. I don't beleive anything else has changed.

    and what is the error you get in the pop3 client?

    Are there any biiiiig Email in your POP3 account? If you get a timeout in your client, just set a higher timout on your client. That's related to the way ASL is downloading POP3 email internally.

    I don't receive any errors. The proxy is just not catching virus. I am receiving a dozen mydoom.f a day. When i setup the server i tested with www.virustest.org. The FW cought about 90% of them. Today with the updates, it stops none of them.

    How do I tell if the AV is running?

    Is there a POP3 packetfilter that allows POP3? If yes, you might download your emails through the packetfilter instead of the POP3 Proxy. Disable the POP3 Packetfilterule for testing. Also make sure you have the latest virus patterns.

    I have a rule to allow all internal to go external. This feature was working fine until i applied the last two updates. I have verified that the latest virus dats are running and working witht the HTTP proxy. The POP3 proxy was able to stop MyDoom and EICAR before it is not stopping even the EICAR file. Not being a UNIX admin, I don't know how to troubleshoot the OS. 

    The Option is slected to run, I have rebooted, stopped and started the deamon. All wtih no success. My clients receive ther mail with no errors, but the proxy no longer detects viruses.

    Well, I guess since no one has any suggestions I will try to re-install the product and see if that fixed my problem. Not happy with that solution. Seems like there should be something I can try to trouble shoot my problem.

    We are having the same problem, after update to 5.022 our Pop3 Proxy - Virus Scanner is not working anymore. The proxy and spam control are working but virus scanner not.
    We are using Popbeamer to read Pop3 accounts for our Exchange Server and Popbeamer cannot read e-mail out of Pop3 accounts any more. The error code that we get is:
