I just installed my first Flexi-Port module. Seems weird with all of the work that I do with Sophos, but there it is.
Anyway, the module that I installed is the 8-port copper. I followed the directions (powered down, removed power to the appliance, ensured that the appliance was still grounded to the rack, carefully installed the module, and restored power) but I can't seem to see the new interfaces anywhere in the SG's GUI.
As the appliance is being configured for a client, I haven't activated it quite yet (will be doing this later on this week) so it's running on it's 30-day license still.
Questions:
- Does the appliance need to be licensed in order to recognize the Flexi-Port module?
- Where does the Flexi-Port configuration usually appear? I'd assume that there would simply be more interfaces listed in the hardware tab and that I'd be able to configure them as I can configure the other built-in ports, but is this assumption correct?
I didn't have much luck in finding any documentation on configuring the Flexi-Port (probably because it's just *that* easy/intuitive).
