Interfaces - Correct way?

I have trouble understanding the interface module in dashboard view. I'm transferring some files from my internal network to my DMZ network. As shown in the attached file the dashboard view shows high network usage on the IN port for the internal and high network usage OUT for the DMZ. Should this have been the opposite way? I.e. Internal OUT and DMZ IN? Have i configured something wrong?

My infrastructure is modem -> server(3 NIC) ->wifi (internal)
The 3 NIC is WAN, Internal, DMZ. The internal network have 172.16.0.0/24 and DMZ 172.16.1.0/24. WAN is DHCP from my ISP.

  • Yes, like papa_ said, the UTM receives the information from the Internal network (hence IN) and sends it to the DMZ (out)
