Can't Login

Ok this is frustrating, tried both a VM and a hardware based install of the software.

All seems to go well, go to the config screen where you enter the new password, and e-mail address. Entered everything correctly.

Now it takes me to the WebAdmin login screen, I use the login name of admin and the password i chose earlier, both fields now show an asterisk next to the username and password boxes and it simply stalls there.

I have tried both chrome and IE 11 to no avail.

Ideas? No errors on the box itself, just the login screen sitting there.

    Are you using any odd characters in your password?

    Using a capital G in the password, and admin all lower case as the password.

    I do have LastPass installed, but disabled that in the browser and still no Joy.

    I enter admin and password in the field, click the login button and then two asterisks appear next to username and password and then nothing..

    Strange indeed..

    Just tried Firefox and got same result, but this time no asterisks "I think that is Lastpass putting the asterisks in place" it just sits on the login screen with no errors or indications it is doing anything at all.

    I am using the following download asg-9.205-12.1.iso

    Ideas?

    First, try burning a new CD at 4x or slower, and then install with that.  Any luck?

    Tired that, the initial CD was burned at 2x

    Also tried installing as a VM under HyperV and got the same result, I wonder if the download is bad.

    What is the login for the terminal I thought it was root and a blank password?

    I guess I could try the download again, however the install nor the status screen gave any errors [:(]

    I'd be tempted to try the 9.111 download instead.  If it doesn't work, then we have to wonder about your hardware - see #7 in Rulz.

    Yep I have an old 3Com Nic in the system as well as an Intel onboard NIC. I use the Intel for the management side of the interface.

    I am burning 9.111-7.1 as we speak and am going to give that a try.

    But keep in mind the virtual machine did this as well and they are both Intel Nics.

    I will keep you posted and thanks for the pointers, I really want to get this working to try out.

    Did the 9.111.-7.1 install, goes through install fine.

    Comes up to initial setup screen asking for company name etc works fine and I enter a simple password for the admin user.

    Click through it comes up with a security warning, I click through enter admin at login name and password at password, and there it sits [:(]

    Have you tried a "clean" VM as a client to access WebAdmin?

    Also the UTM console of a fresh install permits login as root with a blank password.  From there logs can be reviewed.
