Been using Astaro since 2002 and always lurked on the board gaining valuable experience. Have an issue that I need assistance with. Running UTM 9.2 on a Dell SFF PC. Specs are:
3.2Ghz Processor
160GB Disk Space
2GB RAM
1 Onboard NIC
1 Dual GB NIC
I've run this configuration for years on the same hardware without issue. I recently upgraded from V8 to V9. Everything will work fine for a few days than all of a sudden the machine will just shutdown. Thinking it was potentially hardware related, I pulled out another machine that I wasn't using. Specs are:
2.6 Ghz Quad-Core Processor
500 GB Disk Space
2 GB RAM
2 Onboard NIC
I know a bit of overkill, but heck I wasn't using it anyway. I loaded a fresh image and imported a backup file. Everything worked fine for 2 days, then bam, the machine shutdown. Thinking maybe it was importing backup files. I went back to the original machine, loaded a fresh image and manually configured the basics just to get traffic flowing. Everything worked for 1.5 days, then bam today, it just shutdown. At this point I'm scratching my head. I can try a fresh install on different hardware, but at this point I believe its software related and less hardware related. For reference I'm running.
Firmware version: 9.201-23
Pattern version: 61151
The only active feature is Firewall.
My question is where in the logs can I look to determine what the potential reason for the system shutdown. Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry if I left out anything.
