System won't boot after install

I'm having a problem installing Sophos UTM ver. 9.200-11.1. Installation goes well, but when the system restarts, I get nothing but a blinking cursor. It appears that the boot loader cannot be found. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Like Barry said, usually caused by card readers or multiple hard drives in one system.  Although, you've added in the extra complexity of installing from USB which is unsupported unless it is a Sophos branded ASI stick with a Sophos appliance.  The supported means is to burn the ISO to a CD and use a CD/DVD drive connected via usb.

    You've not given much more information than "me too", making it difficult to give more granular advise.

    It's HP microserver Gen8, one SATA disk, no card reader or similar. 8GB RAM celeron G1610. So nothing special. I have install logs if anyone would have time to check them but I've not seen anything unusual in them.
