I figured there would be some feedback in here already... Haven't seen much. General thoughts and impressions of 9.2? Working as expected and safe to give a go?
I like it, this time I've been using it on my Home-UTM since the ALPHA [:D]. I had no major problems whatsoever besides those who required and got immediate fixes, still reported a lot of bugs though.
9.100 beta was an issue for me because it wasn't possible to keep my endpoints (no migration path) so I didn't join it for home. In 9.200 that was no problem anymore.
What I don't like that much is that with each new version the RAM usage grows higher and higher. It's very sad to check the RAM usage in the per-year graph in the hardware reporting section. But as an engineer I know there's not much we can do here - new features of course require more memory. Luckily the hardware still catches up with that these times, of course at some point you need a refreshment. I'm using an ASG120 rev. 4 prototype at home, with 30GB SSD and 2GB RAM, almost all features turned on except IPS and I'm still very satisfied with it. RAM usage is at 78% (was at 55% before I upgraded though). AFAICT that's because of an additional ctasd process which is required now to properly filter inbound *and* outbound email.

Thanks!

Hallo,
a virtuall HA with 2 nodes, update without problems.
I like it very much. Upgraded til version 9.200 the other day, and the upgrade went without any problems. Currently running on an old HP DC7600 with 3GB of ram, and the entire process took aprox. 30 minutes. There are some changes at certain places in webadmin, but nothing major. Personally I really like the OTP feature with google authenticator. I can´t se any reason for not doing the upgrade. Just remember to have a backup available just in case.
I am about 12 hours post upgrade. Still receiving considerable logging in the web filter log. Also using more memory(ram) than the previous install. See enclosed log file. Based on a seperate post I corrected a bunch of regex entries. See enclosed link. Hopefully there is a fix coming to turn off the pinging of the old CFS servers, and correct the oddities in the log I noted. Evertyhing else seems th be going ok. Still a small learning curve from the previous version.
