I have (or rather, HAD) one of the free home user licenses for Sophos UTM. It was a special license I received for helping to beta test the UTM software, and it had a 100 user limit, rather than a 50 IP address limit.
A week ago, I started getting notices that it was about to expire, so I went to the myutm.sophos.com to renew it. The site informed me that the license was about to expire, but there were no available options to renew it (no "renew" button or anything like that). There is a "Create a new License" button, but it requires an activation code which I have not been given, so that option was of no use.
A sidebar on the page gives a licensing contact e-mail address of , so I wrote to that address to ask about license renewal. In a few minutes, I got an automated reply with a ticket number, saying I would be contacted after they had researched my request. In the week since then, I never heard anything else from Sophos about my license.
I wrote back to Sophos twice, yesterday, and the day before, listing the ticket number in the subject line, but go no response from either message.
I attempted to request a support ticket via the "Support tickets/RMA" button on the myutm site, but since I'm an end user, the form cannot be submitted, and it tells me to request support through my partner, which, of course, I don't have.
In desperation this morning, I attempted to download the UTM software as if I were a new user, hoping I could get a new license that way. It wouldn't be as good as the license I had, but at least it would get me up and running again. In return, I got a message welcoming me and providing instructions on how to download and install the UTM software. Attached to the message was a license -- A USELESS COPY OF MY EXPIRED LICENSE!!!
At this point, I don't really know what else to try, so I'm asking here. How do I get my license renewed?
