Anyone played with X9SBAA-F?

I started looking for Hardware running UTM in an home enviroment. ATM I'm using the virutal appliance on my homserver, but I would like to restructure my complete setup in the feature and I plan to spend some money into a deticated hardware for the UTM. One point important for me is the power consumption of the system and an additional wish would be to get an nice 19" case for the setup. While my research I found the X9SBAA-F board by supermicro. It has a very low power consuption and there are nice supermicro cases available for an affordable price.

The question is: is the cpu fast enough and is the hardware compatible with UTM? Has anyone tried to run UTM on that board? I found a thread about the board but maybe there are some other users since that?

    The Supermicro SuperServer 5017A-EF (which that board is in) is extremely quiet compared to most 1U servers given that it's only got the PSU fan running. The other board I've used to great success is the SuperServer 5015A-EHF-D525. Is based off the Intel D525 CPU vs the S1260 in the first one. Benchmark wise they run about the same with a slight advantage to the S1260 owing to newer design.

    The one thing however that's more important here is what features do you plan to run on the UTM? I have yet to test my D525 board with v9.2 (in beta) but in tests with v8 & v9, the Atom family of boards gets overloaded very easily. Anything CPU bound (like A/V scanning or IPS) can very quickly bring an Atom to it's knees.

    At home I run my UTM off an i7. I will note that my i7 is a host server for VMware's ESXi virtualization software but I found I needed the horsepower to bring IPS to an acceptable level for a dual WAN connection (50/5 & 15/5) with a home and several personal web-servers behind it.
