I have the same problem with the ASG220. Yesterday we experienced high Memory and SWAP usage (87-99%) on our system. Snort restarted two times. The high usage of resources began after installing the newest software version - before that memory was at 50% and swap at 30%. We also had three CPU spikes at 100% with internet coming unresponsive for a couple of seconds (all yesterday afternoon).
I disabled web caching for now, that's the only change I made. We have about 100 devices connected to the internet, and peaks at about 4000 concurrent connections (average 1000 cc).
A reboot yesterday evening yielded in a little relief, memory went back to 60%, swap to 0%. Swap returned gradually and is at 55% as of now.
We're also experiencing extremely high CPU and RAM usage. UTM220 over here. We had to reboot the appliance this morning because CPU maxed out and everything went unresponsive.
I am having the same issue with an ASG425. Memory usage was running around 30% before the firmware upgrade. Now, in about 18 hours it will go to 100%, swap will climb and CPU utilization will also hit 100%. Snort and HTTP proxy continue to restart
UTM425 - Same behavior since 9.108 update. Memory usage 85% + under load and only falls to 75% when idle. Restarting IPS and httpproxy (either through webmin or command line) will only drop memory down to 65% but it will quickly jump back up.
Only utilizing web protection and network protection modules.
