Hardware : MSI Nettop 100
Intel 1.6GHz Atom 330 (dual core) on board
North Bridge - Intel 945GC
South Bridge - ICH7
RAM - 2Gb
NIC - Realtek 8111C
USB2 to Ethernet Gigabit (AX88178 Chipset)
HDD - 200GB Seagate Barracuda
The problem that I am having is has happened in both methods (DVD or USB Flash Drive). I boot the Atom machine with either DVD or USB flash drive and proceed with the installation screen and always gets stuck at 16% where its searching for the HDD to install to. When I hit Alt-F4 to view log. I get this error.
bootstrap:: part.c:448: ERROR: Error: Error opening /dev/sdb: No medium found
bootstrap:: part.c:169: ERROR: part_get_disk: ped_device_get: failed
bootstrap:: part.c:492: ERROR: /dev/sdb: No medium found
If I am installing it via USB the device is listed as sdc.
My work around this has been to install the machine via VMware on my Desktop, but halt it once it gets to the reboot portion. And then install the hard drive into my Atom machine. But that has not resulted in success either for whatever reason. Since it will boot, but I can't find the machine on the network.
I have tried using the commands described in other thread on how to get the USB to install with no luck, because I get stuck in the same spot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
