9.101 overwrote 9.100?

Hi there,

Since yesterday evening I try to update a cluster of two UTM 220 from 9.005 to 9.1. With the master I succeeded but the slave was on state UP2date for several hours.
Today I factory resetted the slave and tried to update it manually. This was successful with 9.006 but the downloadable file u2d-sys-9.100016-101012.tgz.gpg shows up as 9.101 and generates an error messages like "9.100 was expected but 9.006 is installed" -> up2date failed!
Also, a reconnect of the two results in eternal UP2DATE state of the slave...

Any suggestions how I can get the two nodes on the same firmware?

Thanks a lot,
Uli

  • The Up2Date files are "incremental", so you have to upload the whole chain. Based on 9.006-5 this would be:

    • u2d-sys-9.006005-100016.tgz.gpg
    • u2d-sys-9.100016-101012.tgz.gpg

    Private Setup:

    • XG: HPE DL20 Gen9 (Core i3-7300, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD) | XG 18.0 (Home License) with: Web Protection, Site-to-Site-VPN (IPSec, RED-Tunnel), Remote Access (SSL, HTML5)
    • UTM: 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM, 50GB vHDD, 2 vNICs on vServer (KVM) | UTM 9.7 (Home License) with: Email Protection, Webserver Protection, RED-Tunnel (server)
  • Thanks, scorpionking,

I know, but the file named u2d-sys-9.100016-101012.tgz.gpg appears as 9.101-12 on the firewall and is only 48MB.
There is no "real" 9.100 file available anymore and that's my problem.

  • You have to read the newer Up2Date file names as following:
    u2d-sys--.tgz.gpg

So the u2d-sys-9.006005-100016.tgz.gpg will update from 9.006005 to 9.100016. And that means: you need both the files I mentioned above... [:)]
