Cable Modem Interface going up and down

Hello,

I have an issue with an UTM 110/120 ans Software 8.309

We have attached a cable modem on ETH1 with DHCP.

The interface is going down and up 5-10 times a day.
It is down for about 1 Minute if I believe the Emails, but in real the interface seems to be up all the time.

I already tried to fix the interface on the UTM to 100 FDX Speed, this also didn't help.

Does someone have the same issue?

The strange thing is, it worked perfect over weeks, and the last 5 days this issue started, with no change on the UTM. The UTM has an uptime of 76 days.

    Hi,

    I have the same problem with disconnects (about 1min duration multiple times a day).

    I have a Kabel Deutschland 32Mb/2Mb (Internet und Telefon 32 flex - Kabel Deutschland) connection with a Hitron CVE-30360 Router/Modem in Bridge Mode.

    Hitron CVE-30360  isolated VLAN  Sophos UTM9.1 @ ESX 5.1

    Why do you use this extra isolated VLAN?

    My config is:
    KD-Modem  UTM 9.105-9@ESXi 5.1.0-1117900

    The external interface is configured with type "Ethernet DHCP" and IPv4 Default GW. No advanced settings.
    Hardware setup is "Auto negotiation" and "HA link monitoring".
    Up- and downspeed is set up at QoS.

    With this setup I do not have many disconnects. Maybe Kabel Deutschland has some problems with your port or it is simply overloaded.
