UTM9.1 software : cannot restore 8.309 config

I spent several hours trying to install 9.1 from the iso. I finally manage to connect to the webadmin by connecting directly my PC to the PC hosting Astaro but I never passed to restore the config backuped from 8.309. I can upload it on UTM9.1, then I click on Finish, it start but never go through even if clicking on 'allow to continue for 30 second' or equivalent message. After several minute I got an error message. Then everything is stuck. Restarting the PC with the button do not not make the webadmin accessible anymore. The only solution is to reinstall from the CD. After several attempts I decided to reinstall 8.0, then the restore worked ok but for the NIC (the order changed and I had to reassign them guessing which is the good one for each connection:mad[:)].
Now I'm trying to apply updates (Astaro cannot find them itself).
Anyway, is there a way to update to 9.1 and restore the config ?

BTW, it seems not possible to update 8.001 to 8.309. then I downloaded 8.100, 8.200 and 8.300 and uploaded them in Astaro but the system is not finding them as available packages and says 8.001 firmware is up to date..

djac is right. Something is really wrong here.

I backup up a ASG 120 Rev. 4 today with Software 8.309.
Then I installed a brand new UTM 120 Rev. 5 today with Software 9.100.

Here is what I did, like I always did it before.
It started with the wizard of the new UTM 120, gave Hostname, User Password and finished.

Then I logged it and restored my config and could even login with the IP 192.168.153.254 of the Backup file.

Once I rebooted the UTM 120 the UTM was not working anymore.
Bootup works perfect. No skipped or failed services, BUT here is the detail.
On the Console you normale see the IP of the UTM, in my first boot 192.168.0.1 and after the restore of the backup and reboot there should stand the 192.168.153.254.

The whole sentence for the Login URL is missing in the console and also there are no 4 beeps that come when the UTM is ready.

I did the same with the 9.005 release and it worked, tried again with 9.100 and it didn't work.

I tried restoring over the Webinterface and also with the Astaro USB Stick restore (put the abf file to the ASI Stick and stick it in while booting).

Something is really strange here when restoring a 8.309 backup in 9.1

djac is right. Something is really wrong here.
