USB to Ethernet Adapter

Anyone using or tested any USB to Ethernet adapters on a UTM system?

New Mac Mini's onboard NIC isn't detected by the install (only thunderbolt one is). Thought the USB adapter might be a 'get out of jail for free' card.

  • Hi, johnjohn, and welcome to the User BB!

I bet it's a different problem.  First, try setting the MTU to 1400 - if that works, play with the number until you find the maximum.  In fact, your ISP may be able to tell you that.

The next thing to try requires rebooting your UTM and your ISP's modem after each change to force a renegotiaion of speed+duplex.  On the 'Hardware' tab, try the different speed and duplex settings.
