Basic Guard strange behaviour

Hi there,

We have a strange issue here with 2 basic guard 110 boxes.
They have the same software version and the same license type, but there are different settings visible in the Webadmin GUI.

I believe the difference of these boxes is the time when we uploaded the license files. The box with the reduced GUI got the license file at the initial setup wiz wizard. The other one was started with no license (eval mode) but the file was uploaded a day later.

The differences are at the Anti-Spam configuration for example. RDNS, BATV and Greylisting is working but I cannot disable it, because there are no Settings visible in the GUI.
(Disabling needed because of well known BATV Bug since October [:(] )

Executive Reporting is another difference.

Has anyone seen this behaviour?

  • Sounds like you may want to start a case with your Reseller or Sophos Support... we've been a VAR/Solutions provider of Astaro / Sophos since 2004 or so and we haven't had a sale for Basic Guard yet (just not a fit for the majority of our customers)... sounds like there may be a bug.  Have you tried updating to the latest V9 release yet?
