power saving - any Idea?

I use the homeedition. My small PC is only consuming 11-14W but I want to let it sleep and wake up regularly because during night we´ll dont need it.
Any idea?
Maybe a feature for 9.1?

    15w running 24/7/365 @ $0.16 per KWH is only about $21 per YEAR in power consumption.  A timer would use at least that much in vampire power.  Not worth the trouble.  Actually a lot of places are way less that $0.16/kwh as well.
