HA Cluster in different rooms

Hi everybody,

wanted to ask around if someone has an Clusterinstallation of the ASG in different rooms.
One node is located in room1 and the Otter node is located in room 2 while an active/passive Cluster is configured.

    There's no reason you can't do that... a network cable is a network cable, whether it's 2' long or 300' long.

    but how have I to configure it, if there is a switch and different VLANs between them.

    As I remember the ASG uses an 192.168.95... or so for the Clusterconfiguration....


    There's no reason you can't do that... a network cable is a network cable, whether it's 2' long or 300' long.

    That is a networking question; just trunk the VLANs needed between the two rooms.  It's going to be a switch configuration issue, not a Sophos UTM issue.  If this is in a commercial installation, you may want to get a consultant to help you if you're unfamiliar with how to get those VLANs "present" in each room.

    As long as the HA port is on the same VLAN with the other HA ports (and they should be on their own VLAN / network segment), everything will work fine.

    Be sure to configure Jumbo Frames Support for the eth3 / HA interface.
    Otherwise, they won't see each other.
