licencing ipv6 double counting

Hello,

Today got an alert, about reaching 90% of licence on my home use 50 user. I looked at the IP tab and see a whole bunch of IPv6 addresses which belong to same machines as the regular IPv4 addresses, also I think windows uses 2 IPv6 addresses. I have a IPv6 tunnel to he with a /48 subnet. 

Question is shouldn't those be counted as same user ? Because going like this I'll need a 100 user licence.

    Yes they "should" be counted as one, but we cant identify the same hosts by IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

    IPv6 addresses have a usage time of one day for licensing, while
    IPv4 addresses have a usage time of seven days.

    OK so what should I do here ? I checked and even my macbook has 2 IPv6 addresses and they are both listed + the IPv4, also same thing for my windows 7 desktop. Looks like I might be running out soon. Is there anyway to get a 100 user special IPv6 address or something ?

    You can setup stactis IP addresses for each device, that will keep you count under control.
    MACs are a bit of pain,because the same MAC address is used for both wireless and LAN. If you only use wireless for a MAC you should only have 2 addresses 1 for 6 and the other for 4.
    Also they should reset after about a week of not being used.

    So today I got the notification that I ran out of IPs, I logged in and it says 88 are used. There are a huge amount of IPv6 addresses, I`m pretty sure they are no reseting.

    I logged in and did a "ip -6 neighbor show" and there are only like 10 addresses there while licensing shows over 60 addresses !!!! 

    First how can I check that they are reseting second how can I manually clear the table ? 

    This is starting to get out of hand [:(] and I`m considering to move the IPv6 tunnel behind the firewall again, but this is such a convenience and theoretically the IPv6 and v4 addresses are from the same host so should not double count !

    I was going nuts looking for this info. Thank you. Just cleared it, lets see what happens after that.... I wonder how I even got so many IPv6 addresses, I guess something is renewing really fast...

    Im still having issues, I keep running out of addresses due to IPv6 and it does not look like astaro is releasing IPv6 addresses after 24 hours. I really need help, I keep loosing connections

    Hi, the license counting system 'remembers' IPs for 1 week.

    You need to look at the DHCP system and see what device is creating so many addresses, and fix it (or disable IPv6 on that device).

    Also consider using static IP mappings in the DHCP server.

    The issue is with the way IPv6 works and auto addresses also the same device with IPv4 and IPv6 so if I have 50 devices its 100 licences being used since its double counting IPv6 and IPv4 as 2 addresses. Instead of 1 device.
