UTM 9.001 Soft-Released

Hi Everyone,

Following the GA release of our UTM 9, we have a small follow-up Up2Date which addresses a few of the issues we couldn't quite quash in time, along with a few reported by our users. We will watch this thread until it is GA released for your feedback. Keep in mind we have lots we want to do in UTM 9 still: we have removed sleep and cut meal times in half down in the dungeons, and are adding more men to the oars as fast as we can! [;)]

    The (new?) up2date manual upload system is kind of confusing...

    I uploaded the file, and then hit the 'apply' button on the advanced-upload screen.

    Shortly after that, a new browser window opened, which says "installation successful" and that the system needs to reboot. (see image)
    AFAICS, the up2date has not been applied yet, so it should not say it's going to reboot.

    I vaguely recall something like this happening before and posting about it, but I can't find the thread.

    I'm installing it now (from the 'install' button on the 'overview' page)...

    The Yellow Exclamation Mark icons (on the right, as the installation progresses) are a little disconcerting as one infers something is wrong; perhaps some other icon could be chosen?

    Also, the system rebooted before all the steps finished, and there's still an exclamation point on one of the steps (see image).

    I think this has already been reported and discussed in the beta forum. I will update the post with the response from Kai once I find it [:D]

    1. It was a horrible experience to install the update on our active/passive cluster. Something seems to be broken there with the syncing of the up2date file between the nodes and the whole process. I don't know how I managed to get it finally working. Lot's of reboots of both nodes and so on.

    2. Quarantine Reports are still not working at all. I see the log message
    2012:08:02-07:00:00 portal-2 smtpd[6558]: MASTER[6558]: Sending QR one
    But nobody get's one.

    Hi folks,
    installed the latest up2date package this morning. Installation progress display gets as far as the kernel install and then reboots. I have never been able to get the full progress display on this current hardware or the previous one.

    Also I note that swap has been removed from the dashboard resources display.

    We did too, I think I know why [[[[:)]]]]

    FWIW, my installations are not swapping at all, for the most part, and the ones that are, it's minimal.
