Far too many IP's showing up as under scope of license

Hi,
I'm using the Astaro home gateway license for my two homes, and even between them there is definitely less than 40 devices on the network, surely, with 4 people at one house and 2 at the other. Somehow I have 47 active IP's in the network, and alot of Unknown leases in the lease table. It's not people on my wifi, as the controller software for that shows only 5 users. At the main site I only even have a 24 port switch and the remote one an 8 port one. The controller spans both sites so on wireless at both sites there are total 5 users. I really don't get what's going on.

    My particular situation was caused by seemingly-spurious IPv6 addresses, and went away when I turned off IPv6 Prefix Advertisements and fired up an IPv6 DHCP server instead.

    I also realised that my IPv4 DHCP scope was far larger than I would ever need, so I reduced the size of the scope.  Since I have around a dozen devices with fixed IP addresses, and about a half-dozen IPv6-capable devices, I set both the IPv4 and IPv6 DHCP scopes to 10 addresses each, meaning the UTM should only ever see traffic from a maximum of 30-odd unique addresses.  Seems to be working like a charm.

    I'm still having the same problem. Jetkins, how did you get around it? It would definitely make more sense to count active MACs.

    Ahhhh now that is a good idea. I'll just set the scope less than 40 and it should be impossible for this to keep happening! Thanks!

    I don't know how, but it's still growing, I had 63 IPs before I just went into cc to clear them, many of which were in *.140 to *.199, which was in the DHCP scope before, but not anymore. I assume maybe it's just picked them back up from old leases or something. Might need to wait a while to find out.
