200/20 Mbit hardware?

Hi All!

Have been testing a lot of different FireWall UTM releases, using VMWare and chose Astaro as the clear winner for our use.

Our internet line is 50/10 Mbit today, but our Internet provider (get.no) max line are 200/20 Mbit. I would like the Astaro box to be able to handle that speed with full UTM functionality.

We are 4 users, have 4x Mac´s, iPads´s, iPhone´s, AppleTV, PS3 and a Qnap NAS.

Where thinking:
Intel i3-2120T (dual core 2.6GHz)
4-8GB ram
2x Intel PRO Giga Nic
Intel 40GB SSD
Intel DH61BE mAtx Motherboard
(Intel

Desktop Board DH61BE)
Lian-Li or Silverstone case

Will this be able to handle this without us losing any speed, or should we go for a i5 Quad Core?

if you look at my platform blog post I am virtualizing everything internally. I had three server idling at nearly 150 watts. Now i have an idle of 60 watts. A client i have currently has a constant usage of nearly 500 watts and in a month or so that same platform server is going to take them below 120 watts constant. Atoms aren't required for good power usage. If that is your only server yeppers it's great..but if you have more than one a good host box works better than more than one atom box..[:)]

That's a good return. I also run a separate Atom for a music media server. I have thought about virtualizing these tasks, but I've worried because the media stuff doesn't take to bogging down all that well, and there is a fair amount of I/O going on at times. Are you running media servers in the mix?
