Hello, i have a problem with the hardware 525F astaro.
he device keeps freezing becomes unresponsive and has to be rebooted even at the instalation/formatting level.

I have swapped out both HDD's with brand new ones and the problems still occurs.

Is there a diagnostic tool provided that i can run to check what part of the hardware has a problem?

    Raid 1 makes financial sense if you make money via internet. However, some other businesses can wait 15 mins, but there probably using plastic routers anyway. Astaro is really for enterprise class which command these redundant failovers anyway. 

    The raid control is in the bios settings. It will sense when you need to rebuild it and should do so automatically. Pull out one HD put windows on it; play around with it then format then put back inside Astaro. Watch it rebuild. Basically, you can always have a hot spare (3 drives) in case of anything bad or changed settings, locked out timer etc.
    So, its a good thing Raid 1 and it does make sense at least to me. [:)]
