Where to place Astaro appliance 320 on the network

for location 1 put the astaro after the 2911 via a cable from the 2911 to the asg.  on location 2 put the astaro between the 2960 and the isp via a cable to another port on the asg.  after you do that run the wizard and you should be up and running in a basic configuration.  If you have nay troubles hit the documents online, post here, or contact a partner.

It means I need two astaro appliance 320? correct?  ALso On location 1, the ethernet coming out of my router 2911 would go into the WAN port of Astaro? and from Astaros LAN port I will connect my Cisco switch 2960?.  On location 2, the cable coming from my ISP would go into the WAN port of the Astaro? and from the LAN port of the Astoro to my switch 2960?

Location 1=City 1
Location 2=City2
Both have One ISP. I do not mind buying another Astaro if things start to work well.  Please check the cable connections above (previous post) and suggest? Thanks

What do you have on the Cisco 2911?  Do you have the license and program for an IPsec site-to-site VPN?  If so, then, depending on the up/downlink speeds of your ISP, you might be able to put the 320 at Site 2 and handle protection of Site 1 via the VPN.

You really should ask Astaro to connect you with a strong reseller in your area that can study your situation in depth and make good recommendations.  William has the knowledge, but Astaro's model is for the reseller to have some responsibility for establishing the size and location.

If you plan to purchase a Web Security subscription, there are a few simple steps to get started with a Transparent Proxy.  If you're only using firewalling, then the Astaro Installation Wizard will configure that for you.
