Update 8.103 to 8.201 failed

I just upgraded from 8.103 to 8.201 and now I cannot ping my internal interface from any workstation. The webadmin interface is accessible at the IP address that I cannot ping but it is not showing me the whole Astaro web interface page. I now cannot get to the internet from any workstation..

I want to restore a backup from 8.103 but it is not working.

Try a quick reboot and see if that help. If your system is low memory, it could also account for the symptoms that you're seeing, as the system is performing data conversions immediately post-upgrade. Post back either way and we'll go from there.

I have rebooted a couple of times with no luck.

I can logon to the web interface but on the initial screen it's only about 1/2 there.

Can you try with another browser? Both Firefox and Google has non-installed portable versions available. Use a recent version.
Is there a way to go back to 8.103 easily?

Re-install from ISO (ftp://ftp.astaro.de/ASG/v8/hardware_appliance/iso/) using a usb cdrom drive, then restore your saved config-backup.

it happens on both firefox and ie 8/9. It seems that my eth0 interface has issues. I would like to just restore back to 8.103 if possible. Every time I try and restore from a backup it comes back to the 8.201 version

can this iso be used from a USB flash drive? I don't have access to a cd-rom drive at this time

The backup will only restore the configuration, not the "OS" version. To go back to 8.103 you would have to follow the process in my last post. As long as you have a usb optical drive around, the process doesn't take too long, 15-20 minutes.

If you can log into WebAdmin from the WAN side, try disabling and then re-enabling the internal interface (Interfaces and Routing>>interfaces)and see if that helps.

why is it that I can't ping the interface 192.168.2.1 (eth0) but I can https: into that interface. Can I remove the internal interface and recreate it?

I would guess that something with the firewall rules conversion during the process of the upgrade may have gone sideways. You can try going into Network Security>>Firewall>>ICMP and toggling the settings.

Yes, but you'll need to log into WebAdmin from the external interface to do so.
