Minimum Requirements for ASG running on ESXi

Hello All,

But I am a little bit confused because when I have a look at the astaro website and the requirements are different between the virtual appliance and the software appliance.

I want to install ASG (latest_asg_v8_software.iso) on my ESXi server and not the virtual image.

What kind of linux? Maybe I would prefer 64-bit.
Other 2.6x Kernel Linux 32-bit
Other 2.6x Kernel Linux 64-bit
Other Linux 32-bit
Other Linux 64-bit
RAM
1 or 2 GB 
CPU
1 or 2?
HD 
20 or 40 GB
NIC

What do you recommend?

    SLES = SUSE yes.  SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.  11 will be fine.
    2 vCPU.  You can use one, but performance will be better with 2.
    Logs:  Depends on your usage levels, but really we're talking over years here.  If you're hurting for drive space, when 2TB drives are about $70 bucks now, then you can get by with 20GB.

    The ASG is for home-use and I hope 1 vCPU is enough?
    $ 70 bucks is about 49 Euro. Super, we have to pay in good old germany round about 70 Euro for 2 TB drive. [:(]

    Intimidated cats? Why that.
    Now we have only 5 Siam cats and no dogs at the moment but two years ago we have two doberan dogs and two Siams at the same time. This two cats are the big bosses in our house and not the dogs.
