chanage ASG220 Lic into virtual Lic?

Hi,

is it possible to convert our valid ASG220 License in a 50user virtual License?
My distri has offerd me a "trade-in" Upgrade, but that is just as expensive as if I buy a new license. Is there no other way?

    There isn't a virtual license per se.  There's a hardware license which is for unlimited users to be used on Astaro appliances and then there's software licenses which can be used on virtual machine installs or your own hardware and are limited to specific numbers of users.

    The cost of the trade-in conversion has to do with several factors including your current license version (v1 licenses are no longer available), how much time is left on your current licenses, and how many users the soft license you want to move to allows.

    As this is a technical support user-to-user forum, you'd be best to discuss this with your reseller.  If there are questions that your reseller can't answer, you can contact Astaro sales at the Astaro office in Karlsruhe Germany.
