firewall sends mail - a feature expired - dashboard says ok

Hi all,

A year problem in the license or reporting module?

Yesterday the firewall did send me a mail, saying the security license was about to expire, and today the firewall did send another one stating it really has expired.
When I view the licenses in the web-admin dashboard, all licenses are valid until 8 July 2013.
So the expiry date is correct, but the year is not.

Witch one should I believe? The dashboard stating I still have 2 years to go, or the mail reports who says I have a problem?

Regards, Robin

  • I think my first step would be to download my license from MyAstaro to check to be sure that it looks correct.  Next, you or your reseller should open a support ticket with Astaro.

    Cheers - Bob

  • I should have mentioned my license is a 100user home license.

First thing I did yesterday was download the license file from Astaro.
In the license file all dates are ok: ending on: 8 July 2013.

However, in the license file there is a MailSecurity license.
But the e-mail the asg is sending is talking about SecureEmail.

Up until now, I experience no disruptions or problems.

    Best regards, Robin
  • Look in WebAdmin>>Management>>Licensing>>Overview Tab.  This is the best place to get license information from within WebAdmin, not the dashboard.  What does it say for License Revision?  What version of Astaro are you running?

  • I think that the emails are just an anomaly.  As long as everything is working correctly, you can just ignore the warnings.
