I want to upgrade my firewall from 7.5.10 to 8.102-2.1 but am having some issues. I dont want to brick my existing atom-based Astaro server so I am using another atom-based server.
I successfully load 8.102 on the new atom server and configure base ip etc and can access through the web portal to start configuring, step 2 asks for my backup file which I upload and then click Finish. Web portal resets than presents a login screen... I am not able to login at that point nor ping the ip.
Does the astaro backup have hardware settings included so the disparate hardware is causing the backup to brick the new server? or is there something else going on?
I do not want to perform a reinstall and restore on my existing stable firewall in case this is a software problem and not a hardware problem.
Ideas?
