Astaro 8.002 constant dhcpd restart

I'm setting up a new PC with Astaro 8.002 for my home network and it runs fine for a couple minutes but then the dhcpd keeps restarting.  I've watched it in the live log and I don't see any error messages; it just goes through what looks like a boot-up process and then says "exit".  I saw another post on something like this but it sounds like his solution isn't relevant for my situation and I don't think the other posters thought it was actually what solved the problem.

I've reinstalled the OS a couple times.  I get Internet connectivity through the Astaro as long as I self assign IPs.

It's a home install so I don't have a manual.  Can anyone help?

    Download a current manual at anytime from WebAdmin via 'Support >> Manual'.

    The restarting message may not mean anything.  Does DHCP assign an IP when you reboot a client PC?

    Hi Bob.   Thanks for responding.  I downloaded the manual and did a keyword search on "dhcp".  While the manual does a nice job of explaining setup, I didn't see much on troubleshooting and I didn't see anything on this error.  I've tried complete reinstalls and I've used different NICs on each install as my management interface.  

    This is a replacement for my previous 7.x home pc ASG.  That PC died.  Since this is both a new ASG version and a PC I don't have much of a way to identify whether it's a software or hardware issue.  I looked through some of the logs but I don't really know what I'm looking for.  Nothing really jumped out.  The dhcpd live log didn't give an explanation of why it was exiting.  

    Any thoughts or tips are appreciated.

    Ooops.  Sorry, I forgot to answer that part.  

    No, it's not assigning IPs.  Everything works ok for self assigned IPs though.  I've disconnected everything else on that subnet, as well, so I know there isn't another DHCP server on the subnet.  As you would expect, the constant restart of the daemon increases the system load, as well.

    Any other thoughts?

    I don't know what the problem was, but I managed to get past it by re-installing and skipping the wizard.  Thanks for your thoughts.  Now on to start a new thread with my next issue....
