Your ASG Appliance V8 Upgrade Experience

With 7.508 being made available last week as a soft-release (FTP Download & Install), we would be particularly interested in your experiences with the upgrade option which allows the migration of an ASG appliance running 7.508 to Version 8.002. As this feature will be made GA near the end of this month, your feedback would be valuable.

Did this process meet your expectations? If not, where can we do better? Let us know here, along with any questions you might have.

    I went from 7.505 to 7.508 by "installing to latest release" and then hit the upgrade to v8 Button. The upgrade worked fine.

    However I didn't notice at first that one of my interfaces is gone. eth5 does not show up anywhere (not even on the hardware tab). I didn't notice this because 7 interfaces were showing up on the dashboard and were green, the 8th did not. just when a user came in "I have no internet" this morning I noticed. So I looked under "Interfaces" and there it still was but "unassigned" to any hardware interface.
    I called my reseller and still waiting for a call-back. until then, maybe someone here has some ideas how i get that interface back. Anyone thinks restarting might help? I don't want to do it in the middle of a production day if it doesn't help...

    So 7.508 has finally been published as official upgrade? I have seen no news in up2date blog, nor I see 7.508 firmware available [8-)]
