Your ASG Appliance V8 Upgrade Experience

With 7.508 being made available last week as a soft-release (FTP Download & Install), we would be particularly interested in your experiences with the upgrade option which allows the migration of an ASG appliance running 7.508 to Version 8.002. As this feature will be made GA near the end of this month, your feedback would be valuable.

Did this process meet your expectations? If not, where can we do better? Let us know here, along with any questions you might have.

    ASG 525 upgrade this evening.  Went to 7.5008 on Thursday which was fine.  Went to version 8 and now I cannot access via webadmin.  Cannot ping, or ssh.  Thr front panel saids its up and running version 8.  I restarted it from the panel... but still cannot get in.  No internet or vpns are working.  I called Astaro and only got to leave voicemail.

    EDIT
    I restarted the box several times and can ping it, but pings drop every 12 packets.  I hooked up KVM to it.  Has the right ip,  lost root password, cannot get to webadmin page.  Any help?

    So, the ASG 110 is now here. After several Power on / Power off it seems to work.
    But CPU Utilization is never less than 20% (with 1 test user here).
    IPS, Anti Port Scan, HTTP Single Virus Scan, IM-P2P Blocking is activated.
