Appliance inaccessible - DHCP Client?

Hi all,

I have got a problem accessing a AVG v8, which was installed on a ESXi 3.5. The import worked fine, but I can't access the astaro. I tried it with the IP, which was given in the installation instruction. It said, I should set one clients ip to 192.168.0.1. Well, that's what I did ... Furthermore the netmask was 255.255.255.0, what is standard as I think. Now I can't access the WebAdmin, I can't even ping the firewall ...

Can someone point me out, if there is the possibility to set a static IP manually, or how to use the dhcpclient, if there is one, from the CLI, as I have access to the console through the Infrastructure Client.

    are you sure that the installation instructions said that you should set the  IP of a client to 192.168.0.1? 192.168.0.1 is the default address of the ASG, if you use this address for a client you have an IP address conflict. Try setting the IP of you client to something like 192.168.0.2 and try to open the webadmin with https://192.168.0.1:4444

    Yes, for sure, sorry I mixed it up. The client ip was 192.168.0.2 and the ip from the astaro 192.168.0.1 ... With this configuration I can't get a connection ...
