Restore config from HW appliance to Software

Hi:
One of my customers had a hw 120 device with a broken power supply, we are waiting for hw exchange and i'm trying to restore the appliance config to a Pc with 3 nics. just install a 7.402 and restore the config (from a 7.202 appliance), the machine comes up with the configured nics and IP but no webadmin interface.
Any help will be apreciated.

  • Can you ssh to that IP and reach the command line?  Even then, I think I'd concur with Bruce's suggestion.  As I recall, the change from 7.206 to 7.300 was pretty dramatic.

7.202 must be almost three years old, so, with no disrespect intended, this customer's problems are a bit of their own making.  If they weren't comfortable doing their Up2Dates, they should have paid you to do them once or twice a year.

    Good luck!

    Cheers - Bob

  • What do you mean by "no webadmin"?  Do you mean your password doesn't work or that you don't even get the certificate warning or login screen?

I don't have ssh to the appliance, however it opens the site to site vpn and routes traffic to the other side, so as an emergency solution it is working but i can't change anything.
Do you know where can i get 7.2 isos?
You are right Bob, they should have updated their firmware.
  • Could the customer have changed the default access port (4444) to something else?
