License usage: EXCEEDING 110% OF USER COUNT on Astaro Security Gateway

Hey guys

Since i installed my private License for my Home Astaro 8 i got a strange problem... (with the public V8 Beta license, everything was perfect)

every day i get a warning regarding my license usage. i have aprox. 20 IP's in my environment wich really do exist. I have a 7-NIC setup -> LAN, DMZ, WLAN-DMZ and 4 Uplink's. About 90% of the IP's that are over my 50 availables are located in the DMZ. In fact, i only have two devices in my DMZ. there aren't any more devices in the DMZ, but still it hit's my usage count to over 110..

If i reboot my Astaro, everything is fine again, at least for a max. of 24 hours. then i recieve the warning again..

Any Ideas anyone?

I encountered a similar problem a while back. See if https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/52/t/27414 helps.

i also tried to disable "ICMP through Firewall", but still no success.

Support tells me there will be a patch for version 8 to fix this.
We're being impacted a bit by the issue since switching to v8.

Waiting on patch release...

I really hope this patch comes out soon. I have been getting this message for a couple of days now. i only have 30 IP addresses in my LAN, and it keeps telling me that i am using 66. about 30 of which are not even in my main subnet (they are in a VLAN that I have dedicated to my VOIP traffic with only 4 VOIP softphones and one PBX server)

Just wanted to add that I too am seeing this, also nowhere near the ip's it's reporting.

At this stage I don't know if it's actually blocking anything but regardless I'd love to see it fixed. Considering all of the business units I've got are unlimited connections this only affects me at home but that is still slightly annoying.

Does anybody know when this patch is expected?

that is what i would like to know. i am not trying to be pushy or ungrateful for all the hard work the astaro team has put into this product but i just got another email. i dont even know where half of these IP addresses are coming from. they sure dont exist on my network anywhere.

i would love to know if its some configuration error i have that is allowing random IP addresses that are not on my network to cause this....

Do you have everything on the ICMP tab of 'Network Security >> Packet Filter' locked down?

See attached. I unchecked the allow icmp through firewall after reading this thread. to be honest, i think the way i have it is correct, but i am unsure...

The recommendation was to uncheck everything.
