Up2Date failing since 7.200

guideline
Our firewall Astaro Security Gateway v7 isn't updating since Firmware version 7.200.

On the Up2Date page in the WebAdmin we see the following messages: 
Current firmware version: 7.200

Your firmware is up to date



Available firmware updates overview	

No updates available for installation



Current pattern version: 12025

Your patterns are up to date.


After having a look at the log, we see the following lines are occuring every 15 minutes:

    Hi,
    I would suspect that you had the up2date process disabled for a while.

    How to fix the problem, download a new ISO and do a fresh install.

    From memory the up2date packages don't go back beyond about 7.3x so your option of doing the up2dates manually is not there.

    If you upgrade to v7.5xx you will need to upgrade your licence (for free I believe).

    You can try manually getting the process going, by downloading the packages and uploading them in Webadmin.

    Index of /ASG/v7/up2date has all the way back to 7.001 .

    Of course, this assumes your license isn't expired? Without active maintenance, you can not get up2dates.

    My mistake.
    I didn't check, I was remembering a comment passed a couple of weeks ago by someone looking for an earlier version that it wasn't available on the server.

    Hi,

    I tried to upload and install the u2d-sys-7.201.tgz.gpg file, but after uploading and hitting the 'Apply' button, it stated 'Up2Date package imported successfully' without actually installing it.

    In the README file in the ISO folder, there is a message about changing the ISO from SAI to SSI since 7.200.

    Could this be the problem?

    Clicking apply doesn't install it, it just extracts the description, and adds the update to the first page. You still need to click the install button.

    Have you verified your license maintenance hasn't expired?

    The first page still displays "No updates available for installation" and the Maintenance License is valid till March 2011.

    If you want to keep your logging and reporting history and/or you have a substantial email quarantine, you probably don't want to reinstall from ISO.

    The Up2Date to 7.300 will hang if you have a unit with less than 1GB; the workaround is to reduce memory requirements by turning IPS off, selecting single-scan anti-virus, disabling proxies where possible, etc.  Once you're ready, you can try running the following command after you login and become root: 
    /sbin/auisys.plx --rpmargs --force

    Thanks for the feedback.

    The update to 201 is already hanging and I have the following resources: 
    Resource usage:

    CPU: 12%

    RAM: 47% of 487.6 MB

    Swap: 24% of 1.0 GB

    Log Disk: 3% of 15.5 GB

    Data Disk: 8% of 11.8 GB


    Can I try to run the command without changing anything? Or will it be the same as the manual upload/install procedure?

    Just run the (modified) command above, and it should execute all of the Up2Dates already loaded in your Astaro.

    I ran the command, before and after the I've uploaded the "u2d-sys-7.201.tgz.gpg" file, but I got the same output twice:
