7.503 released

7.503 was released today (Astaro Up2Date Announcements), with only a licensing bugfix.
 
I take it that the accepted feature requests that were slated for inclusion in 7.503 (Astaro Gateway Feature Requests), will now be pushed to 7.504?
 
Authentication: Proxy.pac Auto-Configure Support/Export
WebSecurity: HTTPS Exceptions
proxy pac is much needed
dhcp option 252
Override global proxy logging by exception list
MailSecurity: SMTP routing with wildcard domain names / include subdomains
WebSecurity: Exceptions by Category Type
 
Gert may want to consider updating these listings at the feature request site.

    The message coming out of this thread is DO NOT update firmwares as soon as they come out. Wait for couple of days to review potential issues and test the update on a test box (if you have one!)

    Well, I did test it...  I updated about 15 boxes today, about 7 bombed.... but yes... this was pretty bad, not good for our reputation and not for astaro either.

    Sorry guys.... this had to be said, it killed my lunch break! Never screw with my lunch break [:D]

    Well, I started a case with Astaro, and pointed them at this Thread (and Barry's other thread)... the guy I was talking to couldn't reproduce it, but given the intermittent / inconsistent nature of the problem, he sent all this on to QA. I'll keep you guys updated.  My suggestion to them was to just add a reboot to the end of the up2date script, that should solve most of the problems (though Barry's issue with some daemons not starting cleanly after reboot may not be solvable via a simple reboot).

    It was my understanding that Astaro was going to continue releasing each update as a "soft release" so that a wider variety of installations could check it out for these show-stopper issues.  

    I have no problem applying a "soft release" to my ASG that I have physical access to it in case there are issues.  I feel that testing such releases is the least I can do to help Astaro improve QA, especially since they have so graciously allowed us awesome home licenses!
      
    A simple update that renders a remote machine inaccessible is unacceptable.  Please continue "soft releases" and at least allow the soft releases a couple of days to simmer before automatically pushing them to all boxes.
