7.503 released

Yeah, they'll have to push those to the next up2date... that web security licensing fix was kind of a high priority item.

A warning:
the 7.503 up2date has apparently crashed my firewall at home... I got the email that the up2date was installed 2.5hours ago, but since then I can't login to webadmin or even ping the firewall.

I'd advise to not do the up2date remotely right now.

Ouch Barry. Not good. Do you have any sort of out-of-band control to give it a reboot? Maybe a VPN connection through which you can get SSH access. 
 
One bit of kit that I use for similar situations is a PDU with network connectivity. It's saved me a road trip on several occasions.

Updated the unit at my home office with similar results.  Was able to access the inside of the firewall, but it wasn't passing any traffic to the outside.  Luckily I was onsite and was able to reboot.  This would have been a major problem for a remote site.

Hmmm... I installed it on a couple of test systems, the only thing I noticed was a few daemons had to restart, and web connectivity (outbound) was lost temporarily while the IM/P2P daemon, Confd, and HTTP Proxy restarted (the IM/P2P and Confd daemons did not do so gracefully, the self-monitoring daemon restarted them due to non-responsiveness).

Home now (almost 6 hours after the failure)... firewall was still running but appeared to have lost routing... I could ping my ISP gateway from the Astaro console, but no further.

Rebooting resolved the problem.

I had the same issues as BarryG.  I lost my external interface here on my home machine.  Disabling the interface and re-enabling it brought the external interface (cable modem) back online.  Luckily a restart wasn't needed, but the external interface was definitely brought DOWN hard by this update.  I think the auto-restart routine should have been included in this update, especially since a number of these installations are updated/managed remotely.

Thinking it was just a fluke on my machine, I tried updating a family member's ASG.  I should have known better...the install progress window went all the way through all of the steps and said the up2date was installed successfully.  
However, a couple of seconds later, I was then unable to reach that box (both through the IPSec VPN and through it's regular non-vpn external address).  I sent my brother a text message to manually restart the firewall.  

We'll have to wait until morning to see if that resolves this issue.

This is just great! Logged into ACC at work, selected test gateway for updates, Update seemed smooth.

Selected about 10 Customer gateways plus our soft asg plus my privat virtual asg and started updates. - Result, our softgateway down, my Virtual appliance, down, 2 Customer ASGs down. Sweet! Had to call customers to pull the plug.

Leson tought: Check astaro board first and inform customers of possible timeouts/reboots

Yep same here. Installed and no outside connection. Could connect to it from internal. Had to reboot to correct the issue.

Experienced the same issue here as well, and had to reboot to get internet connectivity again.
