no login on ASG320 possible

Hi everybody,

we have got an ASG320 version 6.xx and want to do a brandnew setup for a new company and also a upgrade to the version 7.xx. The relevant LIC file is available.

We have done a factory reset to make sure the machine is complete "empty". After that we try to logon to the 192.168.0.1 from a client pc to make the first basics. The PC is configured with the IP 192.168.0.20, Gate & DNS 192.168.0.1  - and the ping to the appliance is working.

So far so fine - but there is no way to access the machine during the normal webinterface https://192.168.0.1 [:@][:@] The browser returns "no page found"  - also telnet/ssh won't work [:@]

Does somebody got an idea ?? It looks that the webservice on the ASG is not running - any way to activate this.

    Default web interface port is 4444. Your ASG adress must be https://192.168.0.1:4444.

    I have tested this morning the IPs https://192.168.0.1 and also the same IP with port 4444.

    Unfortunaly without any success [:@][:@]

    Does anybody got an idea what I can do to get acess .....

    it will for certain be https://192.168.0.1:4444 is what you need to type. You should factory reset it again until it is fully finished the process. From there, if you still can ping but not get WebAdmin, can you hook up a monitor and access the console?

    you say the ping to the appliance is working, can u post a picture of what you're seeing when entered the URL of the firewall i.e https://192.168.0.1:4444

    i also suggest you to add the URL of the firewall (e.g., https://192.168.0.1) to the Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer’s Internet Options >> Security. In Internet
    Explorer 7 in the Trusted Sites Zone , select Automatic Prompting for File Downloads 

    and later on download and install the certificate into your browser
    from site-to-site VPN > certficate management > certifcates

    Finally I have sort out what the problem was. I assume that the update from 6.xx to 7.500 was not correct. I have done a complete factory reset and than used an external normal CD-ROM Drive to install the update.
    After 30min. the Update was finished and everthing is now working fine [:)] !!

    Now I have the next issue -setup the machine with three areas external - DMZ - internal network.

    I will try to find something on the astaro website, something like an inital setup guide.....

    The E0 ethernet interface of your ASG can be used for ur internal network ,
    the E1 Ethernet interface for your WAN (i.e external) and E2 for your DMZ
