Memory Useage increase over a few days time

Hi, when you run top, you can press shift-M to sort by RAM use.

Top reports the following--this is kind of strange when i had this installed on a different box it never went past 25% ram useage what could be causing this

Still having the same issue i have to reboot my astaro box every 3 days due to memory usage increasing to very high levels..for example when running the first hour usage will be around 15% then 12 hours later 25% next day 50% and so on. Im not seeing anything running in the background from the "top" output that is causing this. Very strange issue , i even swapped out the ram and i still had the issue with different memory. Is anyone else having this issue

What happens if you DON'T reboot it?

If i do not reboot, the system completely becomes very sluggish to the point its frustrating which prompts my decision to reboot.

Hi,
before you reboot the ASG, please check top again specifically look at index to see how much memory that is using.

You could try without hyperthreading enabled.

Disabling Hyper-threading in the Bios didnt seem to help  this is very strange checking index on top output  the most mem usage shown  is wwwrun   and that's very small around 1% there has to be some hidden background process running. i can put Astaro back on an much older salvaged HP DV5000 PC with 3GB of regular DDR and a 3Ghz cpu older socket 478 which has no HT and the issue never occurred on that machine mem usage on that machine was around 12% all day everyday. I wonder if its an issue with the Gigabyte Mobo that i am using

dhaman - I have a similar box as yours with only 1GB DDR RAM - my memroy usage creeps up to anout 70%, but usually does not exceed this amount before the cache /swap is started to be used - and if oyu will leave this and not reboot your box, you will find that the memry will get cleaned up somewhat. I cannot be more specific as I never viewed this as a problem - however, did notice that the memroy usage has been higher than ever before!?  [:S]

if i run an older  7.3 Asg build the memory increase never happens so i am wondering if i have exposed an unknown bug in the 7.501 version. The 7.502 available update doesn't state that it fixes this memory  issue so i never updated that
