Up2date Install 7.403 fails

I logged on to a domestic customer's unit this morning and found that it had stopped updating at 7.402 and was failing at 7.403. I started the update again and again it failed.

So having read the forums here I've tried SSH login to ROOT to run the "auisys.plx --rpmargs --force" but although that looks like it is getting there, it too fails at the line: "testing install packages: ep-chproot-pop3-7.4.111.i686.rpm"

Is it possible to flush the update distribution folder and start the download of 7.403 again?  If it is possible, how would one go about doing that and where is the folder?

Is there any other way to get the updates past this point?

your help would be most appreciated.

    You can do two things, if you would like to PM me the loginuser/root password and the IP address i can check it out for you, otherwise:

    delete the contents for /var/up2date/sys
    delete the content for /var/up2date/sys-install

    turn off the automatic update download via webadmin so ASG doesnt interrupt your work / download more up2dates for now (turn it on again later!)

    cat /etc/version (your all set and running on 7.402?)
    in /var/up2date/sys do...
    wget ftp://ftp.astaro.com/pub/Astaro_Security_Gateway/v7/up2date/u2d-sys-7.403.tgz.gpg

    let that up2date download, then run auisys.plx --level d    if it fails, post the full output here...

    OK I did that... i.e. deleted the folder contents and then re-downloaded just the 7.403 U2D package.  ran the auisys.plx at level d (debug) and just the relevant section of the results are shown here...

    ...... (there were many prior log entries that were successful and so have not been pasted here this section starts with the first failure notice)......
