Re-Install old ASG220 with private License

Hi Folks,

I got the old ASG220 from our office, as we've gotten a new one via upgrade.
(The old one -P III 512MB RAM- wouldn't have performed very well under 7.4)

My intent is, to install the personal licensed ASG version on that box.

Unfortunately I ran into several odds right at the beginning:
- the box has no VGA output, so I can't see at which step of setup I am
- as I read the posts related to this, one said, I won't have a working LED-Display nor front-panel buttons ??
Is this so ?

To explain my request further:
Yes, I found the posting about the VGA-adaptor.
But ... none of the distributors has it on stock any more and I hate welding ...
So - any other way to get the thang installed ??

And - is there a way to get the display and buttons working ?
Yes ! I know there is one - but is anyone willing to give me instructions how to do this ?
I'm no total linux noob, so a few good hints should do.

    Great instruction, which did the job at once ....
    .... just to mention, that a reboot is necessary after finishing the described file-operations, before you upload the private license.
    7.500 is now running on the 220.
    Memory consumption is a bit daft, as it's about 80% even when running in home-use, with one client-machine attached.
    But it was a gift from my company, so I shall just wonder but not complain ....

    If ever someone comes to the same situation:
    when you wish to install the ssi-Version the procedure is even easier !
    Not to write down any keystrokes - just attach a bootable usb drive, boot the machine and wait 'till installation is finished.
    It's easiest with an usb-cdrom as this will eject the media, when it's done.

    Then reboot, do the changes described in the link and you got a working ASG;
    all eth-interfaces in order and some fancy display with working buttons aside.
     .... btw. anybody remembering sesamestreet's aliens detecting a PC ??
    (Must've been an old 386 or so) "compuutorr - book says: press button" .... [:D] 

    @suzzyx: you were also a great help by trying carefully to motivate me !
