Configuring WAN

Having a bit of trouble here. Seems as if our LAN is up and functioning but we can't get out to the net. External interface has correct IP and GW settings and i'm not sure whats causing it. Do i need to reboot the firewall and then the router to clear the MAC routing table from the router? We have an ASG 525 and a cisco router.

Did you make a NAT rule and/or packet filter permissions as well?

Yeah i have NAT rules set up and packet filters. All have checked out though

Why are you using both the cisco and Astaro?

Bit hard to help without more details on how the networks configured.

the best way for us to trouble shoot this is to let us know what you are using for dnat/packet filter rules (or just enable the auto rule when you make your dnat)

quickly, you'll need and internal and external interface
natting from the internal lan to the external IP
then a dnat rule source: any (for internet), destination external IP, service HTTP, change destination to: internal IP of webserver, and enable auto pf rules.

some people make the mistake of making the initial destination as the webserver internally when making their dnat rule...

The router is in place from our ISP. Their T1's connect to it. The router then goes to the firewall and then to the LAN
