Stuck at Run Level

Hi Andrew,
you aren't meant to enter anything during the boot cycle. The stuck at runlevel possibly means a hardware fault or hardware incompatibility.
Have you had this version running on this hardware before?

Yes i have. I have had version 7 & up for awhile now. Just installed 7.4 on another hard drive & have hit this wall.

different type of harddrive eg SATA instead of IDE?

Same model PC. Just took original hard drive out & replaced with exactly the same from other unit. Nothing trickier than that

Did you load Astaro onto the drive when it was in the other PC?  This doesn't work very often.

It was installed on the new 'fresh' hard drive after replacing other harddrive with had earlier version on ASG installed on it (7.3)

PC being used is an IBM think centre & it had previously worked fine on a repilica model. Problem was that the original PC's onboard graphic/video card became faulty & i had no room to slot in a replacement.

I had another one (PC of this type) available so i simply swapped out the 2 nics & am now stuck after install to different hard drive.

I tried installing the other ASG 7.3 hdd into replacement PC but i cannot get one of the nics to see internal LAN hence i cant get to webmin page.

Failing to boot could be caused by different LBA settings in the BIOS between the two computers.

Maybe a bad NIC?
